And Again.....

The last time Aniston had bronchiolitis, we went to the doctor and had to see the on call doctor as her's wasn't available. He told me the next time I hear her raspy voice to just start her on the nebulizer and keep her on it until it clears up. SOOOO, Wednesday night Aniston woke up in a coughing fit that resulted in her vomiting throughout the night and all day Thursday. Of course I pulled out the nebulizer and we spent Thursday and Friday glued to the thing. She was feeling better Friday afternoon so we went to the Classy Chassis parade and Saturday did about an hour of the Apple Blossom parade. We stuck with the nebulizer throughout the weekend but Monday night she had a horrible cough again (even with the nebulizer) that was making her vomit AGAIN. So yesterday it was back to the doctor and we got to see her regular Pediatrician, Dr. Milnes who we absolutely LOVE, and it turns out she didn't have bronchiolitis but a LUNG INFECTION. Hearing that from the doctor is how you make a personal feel like the worst mom in the world in the blink of an eye. I was thinking, "I did what the doctor told me to and started the nebulizer as soon as she was raspy!" And on top of that, she has a HUGE bruise on her forehead from running into a kitchen drawer when I was putting dishes away. He was probably thinking that I neglect my child as she's sitting there looking pitiful and all white trashy like with her runny nose and horrible cough but he just smiled at her and prescribed some heavy duty antibiotics and more of the nebulizer. He also mentioned that she's contagious. Oh great, I had her at daycare Monday and Tuesday morning.....so that was a fun phone call to the daycare. Let me just say Thank God for my stepmom, she came up last night and took Aniston for the night and is keeping her today so I can work. Today is the end of her "contagious" period and she'll be off to Little Hands Daycare tomorrow.
On a happy note, Erik and I had a kidless night last night! We lived it up and celebrated Cinco de Mayo at Red Robin with our buddy Kevin. We actually got to sit on the bar side and I was able to finish my dinner with it still being warm and not wearing most of it. We then went on a date to Target. We finished it off by falling asleep at 9:30. Pitiful, I know, but it was fun and relaxing.
(Sorry no pictures, but it's next to impossible to hold down a toddler, make her do her breathing treatments and take pictures at the same time. Hopefully I'll get some cute ones this weekend.)
