Sick again.....

Well, after a month of on and off colds and fevers I took Aniston to the doctor yesterday. She has double ear infections and bronchiolitis. Apparently during one of her colds, it moved into her chest and has infected the little tubes down there. So, she's now on antibiotics for the ears and a nebulizer for her lungs. Poor little girl! She's a trooper though. She gulps down one because it's bubble gum flavored and the nebulizer is "cool" because she gets a sucker afterwards. We go to the dr. again tomorrow at 4:00 to see if the nebulizer is helping. I think it is...she doesn't sound like a 70 year old smoker anymore. :)

February Birthdays......

Saturday we went to dad and Rose's to celebrate early Feb. birthdays....Auntie B, Kylie and Bonnie's. Aniston sure loves her Auntie B and after 3 hours of non-stop playing, she slept the whole way home and all night! YAY Auntie B!

Miss Dental Hygiene.....

My little baby is all grown up and last Thursday in the grocery store, reaffirmed it. She didn't want to ride in the cart, even the "car" cart wouldn't do. So I asked if she wanted to walk which, was a yes, but only if she could carry the grocery basket. I let her carry it back to the bakery so she could get her cookie and then helped her carry it after a few things were in there. I couldn't believe how "kid" like she was. No more baby in the cart chewing on a cracker to keep her occupied.

After we got our groceries, she saw the toothbrush/paste isle and pulled me toward it. I gave in and bought her the Dora toothbrush or Doo-da as she calls her. It was better than her begging for candy.

Cheap Entertainment....

Erik got a gun safe for Xmas and he and Aniston made a fort out of the box. She loves to sit inside and color or decorate with stickers.

HI NANA!!

The last week or so, the "terrible twos" have been torturing the Martinez household. Mommy and Daddy have been at their wits ends. As you can see from the video, Aniston was back to her normal self and it was sooo nice. I just love her sweet little voice.

Q-Tip.....

After Aniston's bath I went to grab her hair stuff and came back to this. Don't worry, they're not that far in her ears. She thought it was pretty funny.

Demolition Time.....

Monday Aniston was in daycare so Erik and I tore out the walls in the entry. The two walls used to be the outside of the master bedroom closet but were ripped out for the new stairwell to the attic.

Daddy's Little Snuggle Bug......

Saturday Aniston and I went to Quincy to visit and get our hair cut. We started the morning at Ampa and Grammy's house. She played with Donnie and James and was ready for a nap when we left at noon. We headed to Auntie B's salon for our haircuts. Nana met us there and Aniston had a little trim to even out all those curls. Nana took Aniston took Grammy and Poppy's house while I got my hair cut and colored. It was so nice to have a few minutes of girl time with B. After I was finished I picked up Aniston and we headed home. By this time, it was 3:30 and she still hadn't had her nap. I left her on the couch with daddy and went to shower and this is what I found when I got out. Isn't this the sweetest?! The picture is a little blurry because I had to use my phone to take it.

Sick Day.....

Aniston woke up with a fever this morning so we stayed home for the day. She was feeling better around 5:30 and played with every toy she owned. Apparently she was making up for the lost time from laying on the couch all day.

Cake made her feel better. She helped me make it last night for Uncle Kevin's birthday yesterday.

Erik was hanging cabinets in the kitchen.....Aniston thought it was a great hiding spot.

Tunnel Time....

Aniston got a huge tunnel/tent/teepee toy thing from Ampa and Grammy (my dad and stepmom) for Xmas. She loves the tunnels and I found out last night this one is about 1/3 as long as the other tunnel. Needless to say, the other one is now hidden. She thought she was pretty sneaky and funny hiding in it and as you can see from the top picture, was not pleased when daddy would reveal her hiding spot.

The attic (guest room).....

Here are some pictures of the attic project that Erik has been working on. Even though I took these this weekend, they are outdated! Since these pictures, the mudding and taping has been done and it will be ready for texture this weekend. I will hopefully take some more pictures tonight. The room is also completely cleaned out.

As you can see, he's been very busy. He finished the basement last night. I have a few touch up spots of painting to do tonight and then will get it all cleaned and the carpets steam cleaned so we can get it put back together tomorrow. It will be nice to have one project finished and the mess gone!
