First Family Vacation!.....

This weekend the three of us went to Vancouver and stayed at my grandparent's house. Unfortunately they were in Quincy for the weekend so we didn't get to see them. However, Uncle Dan (our good friend who lives in Vancouver) came over and spent the weekend with us. Saturday we went to the Oregon Zoo. It was Aniston's first time at a zoo.
Aniston and daddy looking at the otters.
Aniston thought the otter was a kitty.

Okay, everyone's been asking why I don't have a picture of myself on this blog and it's because I don't like my appearance at this point. But, here is one anyway.

The adorable baby elephant running through the fresh bale of straw.

The baby elephant and his mommy were just led in for the night. We were lucky enough to get to see this. The zookeeper said the baby is too young to know voice commands so he was lead in by his trunk. It was so cute. The first thing he did was run through the straw bale to break it up. Typical little boy....had to destroy something.

Aniston eating her elephant ear while on daddy's shoulders. We had to brush all the sugar and cinnamon off his head.

Aniston and the elephant Uncle Dan bought her.

Aniston and Uncle Dan going to see the elephants. He kept her occupied while daddy waited in the LONG elephant ear line.

Aniston and Uncle Dan. You can see how much she loves him.

Aniston LOVES birds so I had to take a picture for her.

This little monkey and Aniston were infatuated with each other.

Erik loved the eagle exhibit. It was pretty amazing.
We had a wonderful weekend. Aniston did great in the car...just let me say thank god for portable DVD players. We listened to Dora, Care Bears, Winnie the Pooh, Tinkerbelle and Aristocats, but it kept her occupied. The next vacation challenge....the 8 hour drive to Neah Bay in July. Maybe we can convince Ampa and Grammy she needs to ride with them in the motorhome......

I CANNOT wait to take Bitty to the zoo! It looks like soooooo much fun. I find it very funny that Aniston thought the otter was a kitty.

Thanks for finally posting a photo of you. You know... we are never satisfied with our appearance. :) I may have lost the majority of my baby weight but my skin is awful since I had the baby and my hair is beyond disgusting - I'm working on six months of bad, greasy, listless hair days! You look good Rene, keep working at it and you'll get there. :)
