First Family Vacation!.....

This weekend the three of us went to Vancouver and stayed at my grandparent's house. Unfortunately they were in Quincy for the weekend so we didn't get to see them. However, Uncle Dan (our good friend who lives in Vancouver) came over and spent the weekend with us. Saturday we went to the Oregon Zoo. It was Aniston's first time at a zoo.

Okay, everyone's been asking why I don't have a picture of myself on this blog and it's because I don't like my appearance at this point. But, here is one anyway.

The baby elephant and his mommy were just led in for the night. We were lucky enough to get to see this. The zookeeper said the baby is too young to know voice commands so he was lead in by his trunk. It was so cute. The first thing he did was run through the straw bale to break it up. Typical little boy....had to destroy something.

We had a wonderful weekend. Aniston did great in the car...just let me say thank god for portable DVD players. We listened to Dora, Care Bears, Winnie the Pooh, Tinkerbelle and Aristocats, but it kept her occupied. The next vacation challenge....the 8 hour drive to Neah Bay in July. Maybe we can convince Ampa and Grammy she needs to ride with them in the motorhome......

Bird Feeders and Grammy....

Aniston loves birds so I got her a "cake" bird feeder. You just hang it on the tree and they come nibble. She had fun hanging it with daddy.Don't worry, this is a chocolate cookie and not dirt.

Last night we went up to my Aunt's house as my grandparents, Poppy Lee (where we got the "Lee" in Aniston Lee) and Grandma Carolyn, are here from Vancouver. Aniston LOVES Grammy and they were playing with Aunt Wanda's rock collection.

Tomorrow we're heading to Vancouver for the weekend and I am SO excited! We're going to stay at my grandparent's house, visit Uncle Dodo (Dan) and go to the Portland Zoo. It should be a blast.

She's Baaaaack........

Sophia Rose (my yorkie) is back. Erik got her as a puppy for me right before he left for Iraq. She was my rock when he was gone. She was my little cuddle buddy and the face I saw when I got home from school and work everyday. Well five years later, when Aniston came along....Sophia Rose was NOT a happy camper. She got snippy with Aniston and was using the house as her potty. So, after much deliberation and many tears, I decided to give her to a friend of mine. It's been two years since Sophia has lived with us but the friend has had a situation arise where she can't keep Sophia so we decided to take her back and try this again. We got Sophia back last Friday and things have been going great. She remembered our house, Cabela, Erik, me, the yard and everything else immediately. It seemed like she never left. She was re-introduced to Aniston and we were a little nervous but the two LOVE each other! And, Sophia's only had one accident and that was my fault as I didn't put her out before the LONG process of putting Aniston to sleep. Aniston calls her either "Fia" or "Baby" and tries to carry her EVERYWHERE unfortunately, you can see Sophia needs a diet and weighs about as much as Aniston does. She loves taking her for walks but Sophia seems to be walking Aniston. Keep your fingers crossed that it will continue this way.

Morning Cuteness....

Aniston has a big day ahead of her today. First she has her Easter party at "school" today and they're getting pizza for lunch. Then, Ampa is coming to take her up to Taleah's to play with Kaiya. Then, we're making sugar cookies tonight with Auntie Steph. I can't believe how much she looks like a kid in these pictures instead of my baby.

Bathtub Fishing.....

Aniston got a fishing pole for her birthday from Ampa and Grammy Rose. This is the only way we could bribe her to take a bath last night. She got to go "fishing" in the tub. No mom, there is not a hook or lure on the pole.
