Potpourri of Pictures.....

Here are some pictures from the week. These first two are from Saturday when she had the flu. She's wearing her Hugh Hefner jammies Gram got her.
She's mad at me here because I wouldn't give her a sucker.
Aniston isn't a picky eater but she hardly eats so I bribed her last night by making spaghetti. She loves her spaghetti....just like her Auntie B did when she was this size.

Behind.....

I know I'm behind in posting pictures and such but I'm so tired. Aniston has been sick AGAIN. This time it was the stomach flu. Not fun when someone can't tell you they're going to vomit. She woke up Saturday morning at 4:30 sick and wasn't feeling well until around 2:00. She was her normal self after that. I was diligent in disinfecting everything as we went so Erik nor I would get the bug. Now it's Tuesday and she and I are both coughing and have runny noses AGAIN. Everyone with kids assures me they too were sick for about the first 5 years of their kids' lives. I guess I can chalk it up to having a kid in daycare. She has also been having nightmares. What a toddler can find to have nightmares about is beyond me. Maybe someone took her blankie or bottle or maybe Spongebob or Mickey was cancelled from tv....but it's beyond me. She usually has them around 10:00 pm but last night they seemed to persist for most of the night. She was scared to go back in her room and I finally convinced her around 2:30 am. I had to leave the lights on (thank you Erik for installing lights with a dimmer switch) and we had to rock or "wock" for 30 minutes before I could get her in her crib. So, I'm dragging this morning. I'm counting down the days to the weekend so I can nap. Saturday is Erik's birthday though so I will take Saturday and get up with her at 6:00 am. Erik will get Sunday and the little turkey seems to know it's daddy's day and will sleep in until 9:00 or so.
Erik had a HUGE interview with the Grant Co. PUD for a position at Wanapum Dam. He had it yesterday and said it went extremely well. Now we're waiting for the call. It's for an apprentice position in the field he's been going to school for and because his GPA is so high, they're trying to snag him before anyone else can since he graduates this summer. He's on the dean's list again and has been contacted, again, to join the Honor Society. He always seems to miss the meetings due to class and working but they sent him a letter asking him to join again. He's such a smarty pants!
Not much to update on me. I'm still desperately trying to lose the baby weight. She'll be 2 next week and I still have IT ALL. During my yearly check up two weeks ago, the doctor suggested I have something called "insulin resistance". Which means that I produce enough insulin but it's retarded and doesn't know what to do. So, I've been pretty much stripped of all carbs and have been working out 5 times a week and in another two weeks will see how much weight is gone. If it isn't a very good amount, then I meet with a specialist to consider taking insulin. We'll see. Apparently I'm prone to this "insulin resistance" since I had gestational diabetes and delivered a baby larger than 9 pounds. Who knows.
I hope everyone is enjoying their week. The sun is finally out so I have all my blinds in my office open. I'm hoping the sunshine and diet coke will help me stay awake after only 3 hours of sleep last night. I will try to get some pictures up this week.

Playhouse Disney.......

This weekend Aniston and I went to Playhouse Disney at the Town Toyota Center. We showed up 45 minutes early and I'm glad we did as we got one of the last parking spots. It would not have been fun hiking from the park while carrying her and a diaper bag while it was snowing.

The play was very cute and also quite short. Only an hour long, which is good for all the little kids but I was surprised considering home much the tickets were. Any child over 12 months had to have their own ticket and she spent the entire show in my lap. I think she was a little nervous with all the people and she couldn't see unless sitting with me. Her favorite were Tigger and Minnie Mouse. She's having a Minnie Mouse birthday in two weeks and is very excited. She was great thru the whole show and her attention was glued to the stage. Afterwards we went home and she played with daddy while mommy took a nap!

Above is a little clip of the Mickey Mouse portion. Sorry it's so fuzzy but that's what happens when Aniston insists on helping hold the camera. There are no pictures of Aniston during the show....as I said, she refused to get off my lap so I couldn't take any of her dancing. I'm surprised I don't have bruised thighs from her dancing on my lap.

Is it really snowing?!?!......

Okay, I don't know about you, but I am TIRED of the overcast sky, cold weather and SNOW! It snowed Tuesday, melted away yesterday and now is snowing again! I'm ready for sun, sun, sun! Maybe it's because we have a new boat that we can enjoy on the river or that Aniston is big enough to play on her big swing set out back while I bask in the sun with iced tea. It's quite frustrating....I'm usually the one praying for snow and loving being bundled up in the house but I'm ready to BREAK OUT! I think I've been in denial about the cold weather. Since I have to wrestle a toddler in and out of the car and into daycare in the morning....I've been keeping all my high heels here at my office and wearing my snow boots....but for the last couple weeks, I've been wearing flipflops, and no coat. I get all these weird looks when I'm out but HEY the flipflops are fleece lined and my kid is all bundled up in warm clothes and a coat. But I tell you....when you're carrying a little extra weight, are normally a hot blooded person and are trying to wrestle with Aniston, you'd be ready for flipflops too.

Chef Aniston......

Here she's trying to say "cheese" with a mouth full. She looks like she's in pain.

Aniston has become my little helper in the kitchen. It's more of her eating while I prepare but it's fun to have her right next to me. Today is her big Valentine's Day party at "school". She was very excited to take all her little presents for her friends.
Saturday we're going to Playhouse Disney, which is coming to the new Town Toyota Center here in Wenatchee. Thankfully Monday is a holiday as I think I'll need it to recover from all the toddlers. Daycare just happens to be open on Monday.....I think Aniston might have to go visit for a bit so mommy can nap.

Potpourri of Pictures......

Here are a few pictures of the last week with Aniston and I being home so much and both of us sick.
Notice the broccoli on her chin?! I hadn't been able to get her to eat and she saw the broccoli in the fridge and wanted some. I couldn't get her to get rid of it when it was time for a bath so.....the broccoli got a bath as well.

This is her on the way to "school" this morning. She was telling me something very serious.

This is the evil little look I get when she tells me "no".

After getting her hair done.

Aniston and Uncle Dan this weekend. He brought her some books. She loves her Uncle DoDo (she came up with that name all by herself).

Update...no pictures......

Another week down and still sick. Aniston went back to the doctor yesterday. Her lungs/coughing/breathing didn't sound any better to me and apparently didn't sound any better to the doctor either. They sent us across the street to get xrays of her to see if she had pneumonia. That was not a fun experience. They strapped my poor baby into this clear looking tube with her arms up over her head to try and keep her still. She was not happy. She was crying so hard she was coughing and I was afraid she was going to throw up, which she's been doing once or twice a day from coughing so hard. Thankfully the xray tech was quick and Aniston thanked her through all her tears. Then it was back across the street to see the dr. again. The xrays were clear so they say it's still just the bronchiolitis and she's on the nebulizer for another 5 days or so. Her ear infections are not getting any better so they've changed her antibiotics to something stronger, which results in diarrhea. She is such a trooper though and is still acting like her normal little self. She's excellent with the nebulizer and most of the time will just lay there watching "toons" with it in her mouth.
And now.....mommy is sick with her cold! YAY....not! I'm hoping after my court calendar this morning that I'll sneak home and nap while Erik is taking his midterms and Aniston is still at the sitter. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Erik has been busy with the house and school as usual. The attic is finished. The carpet guy finished up Friday. We take Aniston up there to play because it's so CLEAN and empty. She loves just running around up there. Dan came up last weekend and he, Aniston and Erik played football up there. She loves it. We bought some new cabinet over the weekend and Erik installed them in the laundry room. I don't know what I'm going to do with all that organization! He's thinking about laying the new hardwood floors on the main floor this weekend. The poor guy just can't seem to sit still!
