Hectic Morning......
So, this morning Aniston is doing the usual tootling around while I'm getting ready for work and I hear her knock over the diaper genie. I go running and find her completely stuck to a mousetrap. Now, being the awful person I am....I was wishing it was one that would snap and then we'd just be done with it but no....she got stuck to a glue trap and had it stuck from her knee all the way to her ankle and then tried pulling it off so her hand was stuck too. I got her into the bathroom and the trap pulled off (all the while she's crying) but now I'm stuck with glue all over my hands and all over her as well. I get her thrown into the tub to keep her occupied while I try to figure out what to do. I googled the website and was RELIEVED as apparently we're not the only ones to have done this and there is a suggestion for removing the glue from skin.....vegetable oil. So, 30 minutes and half a bottle of oil later, we were all unstuck. I didn't have the heart to take pictures as she was crying so I've added a picture of the mousetrap. I think I should email the company advising they're also useful for two year olds.

Weekend Catch Up......
These are a few pictures from us having dinner at dad's last week. Aniston had a great time as she always does when we're there.
This weekend was a very relaxing weekend. Friday Erik and I went with the Sellers to a wine tasting at Lake Chelan and then dinner at Red Robin. It was so nice to have "adult" time without the screaming kid being mine! We had Claire over to watch Aniston and the two of them had a blast. Aniston misses seeing her "Claire Bear" on a regular basis. Saturday and Sunday we just hung around the house all day in our jammies! Erik worked on homework and got ahead in most things. I took up knitting on Saturday and am really enjoying it. Now if I could only understand the knitter's lingo in the instruction book to be able to do the fancy stiches and not just the basic. I'll see if Gram can help me.

Thankful Thursday.....
Okay, so a few of my friends do this where every Thursday they list a few things they are thankful for and I'm going to try it. Maybe it will kick the funk I've been in the last couple days.
1. First I'm thankful for my husband. No matter how horrible I feel, I call him and he cheers me up and looks at the situation from another angle so it's not as bad as I think it is. He's definately a keeper!
2. I'm thankful for Aniston. I never knew how much I could love until she was born. Everyday I love her more and more and am so thankful to have her in my life.
3. I'm thankful for fleece jackets. Even though Erik bought me my own....I still steal his when I want to feel warm and cozy.
4. I'm thankful for friends. Every Thursday I look forward to spending the evening with Steph and Kevin by watching The Office and 30 Rock and eating dinner. Tomorrow we're going to spend some "grown up" time and go wine tasting in Chelan. Which leads me to my next thankful...
5. I'm thankful for babysitters! I love being able to drop Aniston off where I don't have to worry about her during the day and absence definately makes the heart grow fonder!

Let's try this again!
Okay, so I'm resurecting the old blog and trying this again. I figure it's the quickest way to keep everyone updated on Aniston since, let's be honest, she's the one everyone wants to hear about!
Aniston is officially 20.5 months old. Can you believe it?! I can't. She is quite the handful, always chatting away and going full speed, but she never ceases to amaze me with what she says or does. Last night she acidentally head butted me in the nose and I grabbed it with my eyes watering and she said "sorry mommy, kiss, all better". She is all girl, has to have her jewelry and baby, and loves having her toe nails painted. Her best buddy is her daddy and Cabela (that poor dog deserves a medal for what Aniston puts her through).
I hope to update this every few days or so.....I have a new camera that I love so the pictures should be plenty!
