Thanksgiving Weekend....

Aniston hasn't figured out that Santa brings presents yet but she has learned he says "ho, ho, ho". She loves to say it.

This is as close as I could get her to the snowman for a picture.

Aniston's handy work of hanging her own ornaments.

Four day weekends are wonderful! Thursday had dinner at Gram and Poppy Whitener's new house in Quincy and then Aniston spent her first night with Ampa Cliff and Grandma Rose. Erik and I decided we would brave it and do Black Friday as Aniston wants a power wheels for Christmas and they were having a great sale on them at Walmart. So Ampa and Grandma took her for the night as I couldn't see waking her up at 4:00 to drag around Walmart when I can't even get a gallon of milk with her after work. Needless to say, we still didn't end up with a power wheels.
Friday we did the mad dash shopping trip at 4:00 am and then spent the day putting up the Christmas decorations. I decided I didn't need Aniston's "help" and would have them done before she was brought home from her slumber party. It worked great.

Saturday Aniston went to visit her old baby sitter Stella and her family. Stella has a 15 year old daughter, Claire or Claire Bear as we call her, and Aniston just loves her. So Aniston had a play date while I had my "spa" time of grocery shopping. I'm sure you other mommies can relate that grocery shopping can be zen like if you're childless!! I was able to run 4 errands and grocery shop all in 2 hours since I didn't have my little person with me. I felt over accomplished and so.....

Sunday we did NOTHING!! Erik and I take turns on the weekends on who gets up with the Princess at 6:00 am and who gets to sleep in. Saturday I got up with her and then on Sunday, daddy's day, the little turkey slept in until 9:30! I couldn't believe it. Little stinker. We all did our showers and stuff and put on clean pj's and lounged around all day. It was so nice.

We had a wonderful weekend but I was ready to get back to the grindstone today to return to our regular schedules. I hope everyone had a wonderfuly holiday with your family and friends.
Love, the Martinez Clan
